Supported file types

REFERENCE Adobe Acrobat files are a recommended file type to import into a Knowledge Builder project since the: Adobe Reader is included with the Knowledge Builder install, and .pdf file retains bookmarks, similar to a table of contents for that individual file. To generate search words for PDF files within the Knowledge Builder Developer, the system building the project must have Abode Acrobat 5.0 (or later) to generate a valid search list. If Adobe Acrobat is not available the search list will not include words included in the pdf files.

The following table gives an example of files and their native applications that can be utilized within Knowledge Builder Developer:
